Carlisle were charged ?20 to leave their team coach in a car park outside Fratton Park before Saturday?s match at League One strugglers Portsmouth.
And two buses ferrying Pompey fans to the 1-1 draw were also ordered to cough up or move elsewhere.
Carlisle officials could not believe their ears when they were asked to hand over the money to leave the vehicle on land next to Pompey?s home.
Portsmouth are in administration and heading for relegation to League Two just three years after being in the Premier League.
They have cut costs down to the minimum as they fight for their very survival but fans hope the Portsmouth Supporters Trust will be given the High Court clearance to buy the famous club later this month.
The land, which belonged to previous owner Sascha Gaydamak, is now in the hands of administrators.
But PST spokesman Colin Farmery said: ?It was nothing to do with the administrators, it just seemed that the agent who was running it decided to do this. It came as much as a surprise to me as anybody else.?
There was little else for Carlisle to cheer about as they set off for home on the return leg of their 700-mile round trip after Rory Loy?s opening goal was wiped out 12 minutes from time by a Liam Walker penalty. That gave the home side a second straight draw after nine consecutive defeats.
A spokesman for the administrators was unavailable for comment.
